Avocado
Winter season Harvesting Avocado in Morocco:
The Moroccan Hass avocado harvest begins around late October, with the main export season running from November to March. During this period, orchards across Larache, Kenitra, Gharb, and Souss-Massa reach full maturity. We start shipping fresh avocados to Spain, France, the Netherlands, United Kingdom and other European destinations, where demand peaks in winter.
Because Europe’s own avocado supply is limited in the colder months, Morocco’s early ripening season and short transport distance provide a major advantage, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality Hass Avocado fruit to the European market.
☀️ Ideal Climate and Conditions
Morocco’s mild coastal climate and fertile soils create the perfect environment for Hass avocado cultivation. Gentle winters, balanced rainfall, and consistent sunshine help the fruit develop a smooth texture and rich flavor — characteristics that make Moroccan avocados highly sought after in Europe.
Growers increasingly use modern irrigation systems and precision farming technologies to monitor soil quality, improve yields, and maintain sustainable water use. These practices guarantee stable production and premium export quality.
🚛 Pre-Season Preparation
Before the first shipments leave for Europe, we focus on:
- Strict quality checks
- Cold-chain logistics to maintain freshness during transport
- Coordination with customers for volume forecasting and delivery schedules
- Certification and traceability, meeting European food safety standards
Most shipments are handled through Tangier Med port, reaching European markets in just a few days is one of Morocco’s strongest logistical advantages.
